The Master Index

My first published challenge, the White Legacy is exactly what it says on the tin: a ten-generation legacy challenge. It's highly plot-driven, involves a great many supernatural life states, and was completed September 24, 2014.

Wynter Wonderland is my first attempt ever at a WYDC, published or unpublished. It uses Wynter, my tenth generation heiress from the White Legacy, as a founder... so it could be considered an informal sequel to the legacy, I suppose, though it functions perfectly as a standalone challenge. It was completed September 25, 2015.

Clitheroe is my first attempt at a BaRKC. Gods and mortals; queens and peasants; intrigue and gossip. Standard fare around here. Clitheroe is still running.

I've Moved!

Hey folks! Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? I feel a bit like a ghost or something. Hello from beyond the challenge graaaaaave!

Um, anyway. I just wanted to pop in and let you know that, although I'm no longer publishing Sims content, I have in fact started a Youtube channel! I am making Minecraft videos, because I just can't resist playing a game without documenting it somehow. I think I have the Sims to blame for that.

In any case, if you're interested in seeing more of my work, you can find my channel at the link below. I'm going by the name Avyn over there, so don't be surprised!

The one downside to bowing out of publishing and moving on to other games has been not participating as much in the awesome Sims community anymore. Boolprop and everyone there is awesome, and I miss you all so much!

Clitheroe: Renaisse, Round 5

Read the previous Renaisse chapter here!
Recap of the previous Renaisse chapter: [Spoiler (click to open)]Dienda Renaisse and Imelda Lariel met at the town square, kicking off their rivalry. The Renaisses took care of their first child, Darion, and welcomed their second after another of Dienda's famously horrendous pregnancies, a daughter named Kiya. She became pregnant again at the end of the round, forcing her to stay home from the big coming of age ball the princess threw. That was about it... pretty quiet, actually.

House Motherlode

Hey everybody! So... yeah. It's been a while. I was seriously considering dropping out of the community entirely, but now I'm getting excited about the house events in the Great Boolpropian Olympics (*cough* an event I suggested) so maybe I'll stick around. Besides, I'm really kind of invested in Clitheroe, and I don't want to see it in a challenge graveyard.

But anyway, on to the point of this post. You see, an event for the Olympics is a screenshot ("portrait") event, and I really enjoyed putting together some pictures for my house, House Motherlode! They turned out well enough, so I thought I'd post them over here, too. Enjoy! Or not. It's up to you, really.

Yes, that is my simself. House Motherlode pride, yo!

Build a Royal Kingdom Challenge: Keika's Modified Ruleset

PDF version of these rules for download: Here
(I recommend reading the PDF instead of the webpage, since I was able to format the PDF to make it easier to read.)

Build a Royal Kingdom Challenge
Keika's Modified Ruleset

Based on the ruleset found here.

The goal of this challenge is to create a city with a population of at least 50,000. This particular ruleset was devised with role-playing in mind. As such, if the plot decrees that special exceptions be made to the more flexible rules, such as gender and marriage class parameters, those exceptions may be made.

Clitheroe: Lariel, Round 5

Read the previous Lariel chapter here!
Recap of the last Lariel chapter: [Spoiler (click to open)]Imelda found out at the first town meeting in the square that Dienda Renaisse has a son who is also of a marriageable age to the crown princess. She instantly got jealous from competition, and spent the week trying to set up Galain and Princess Anduera, being pretty rude to the Renaisses, and generally being rather indiscrete considering this journal was being sent to the queen.

Clitheroe: Rheingold, Round 5

Read the previous Rheingold chapter here.
Recap of the last Rheingold chapter: [Spoiler (click to open)]Queen Keika had the Town Square constructed, and held an opening meet-and-greet for her peasants, which the gods crashed. An alien god named Meslar asked the queen to allow his dying people into Clitheroe and was rejected. King Ryan finally reached his gold flower badge, which allowed Queen Keika to bring Queensgold to rank ten. Prince Helyas was unexpectedly born. A private bathhouse was built into the palace grounds, private education was established, and formal crowns were located. The round was ended on Prince Helyas's birthday to toddlerhood and Princess Anduera's birthday to teenhood, and the subsequent coming of age ball.

[This is seriously a spoiler. Please do not click this link until you have read the chapter. Thanks!]Credit should be given where credit is due. Thanks to MichelleCYoung for inspiring several elements of this round's royal proclamation. Namely, using Monique's computer for taxes; the format for royal proclamations, starting with an official seal and all; and the concept of flags. I wanted to do heraldry from the beginning, but was unable at that point to come up with a design I liked. Also, she beat me to the royal court, which was also planned when I built the castle, but I didn't actually carry through with the idea until I read it in her challenge. That challenge, by the way, is the awesome Youngdale Build A Royal Queendom Challenge over at Boolprop. It comes highly, highly recommended!

Also, I obviously didn't design the tree on the flag and seal of Clitheroe. I failed pretty miserably, so I went to a royalty-free clipart site to snag one. I like it a lot, actually!

Also also, for housekeeping purposes, yes, all the money that Queen Keika handed out this round did in fact come from the royal household funds. There was no cheating involved, unless you count the ticket venue trick as cheating.

Thanks a bunch for reading!

Clitheroe: Renaisse, Round 4

Read the previous Renaisse chapter here!
Recap of the previous Renaisse chapter: [Spoiler (click to open)]Dienda Renaisse moved into the neighborhood as a new peasant. She met and became pregnant by Howard Wetherby. The queen heard, and insisted the two marry. They soon had a son named Darion. Despite some financial troubles, Dienda successfully opened a shop called The Flower Lady (three guesses as to what it sells) pretty close to the end of the round.
